An Israel Army detachment operating near the Egyptian-Israel border in the Auja-El Hafir area, captured a large dump of arms and ammunition after a sharp clash with an armed Arab band, an Army spokesman disclosed today.
The dump contained 80 kegs of dynamite, 130 mortar shells, a large quantity of detonators, British small-arms ammunition, six cases of home-made mines and other shells.
In another clash in the Negev near the border of the Egyptian-held Gaza coastal strip, two Arab infiltrators were killed, the spokesman said.
