The Government of Israel has asked the United Nations for 35 experts to aid in various development projects throughout the country. Secretary-General Trygve Lie reported today. These experts include hydraulic and petroleum engineers, metallurgists, educators, public administrators, manufacturers of various kinds.
Later this year, Mr. Lie said in his report, a team of technicians will go to Israel to demonstrate how to construct buildings out of ordinary earth by a system known as “stabilized earth construction.” The team will be bringing equipment with them to train Israelis in this cheap method of making building materials out of earth.
