Israel’s Foreign Office today bitterly criticized Ernest Bevin, British Foreign Secretary, for a statement which he made on Tuesday in Parliament declaring that under the “partition decision” of the U.N. General Assembly the city of Haifa was to be allotted to the Arabs. An Israel spokesman termed this statement as “most astonishing misinformation.”
