Israel authorized sending humanitarian aid to the estimated 50,000 refugees who have fled to Albania from the fighting in Yugoslavia’s Kosovo region. The Jewish state also approved two other aid packages: some $5,000 in medical supplies earmarked for children’s services in the former Soviet Republic of Moldova and an additional shipment of medical supplies to help victims of recent flooding in the Yakutia Autonomous Region within the Russian Federation.
