The Israel Film Censorship Board today reaffirmed a ban against the showing in Israel of the American film “A Time To Love and A Time To Die,” based on the Erich Maria Remarque novel.

The Board said the film whitewashed the German army and showed Germany as a war victim without showing the “heinous” crimes committed by Germany in occupied countries.
