The Communist Party of Israel opposes and will continue to fight the policy of the Ben Gurion Government which assists “Imperialist” plans and intrigues in the Middle East and thereby threatens the peace and security of the world, Esther Wilenska, Israel Communist deputy, told the fifth national meeting of the Socialist Unity (Communist) Party of East Germany.

Addressing the meeting in the Eastern sector of this city, Miss Wilenska expressed the Israel Communists’ solidarity with the “anti-imperialist fight” of all of Israel’s Arab neighbors and condemned the Anglo-American intervention in Lebanon and Jordan. She called for a “neutralist” policy for Israel.

She charged that the Ben Gurion Government was attempting to divert the attention of the Israeli people from the government’s “bankrupt” domestic and foreign policy through: Attacks on the Arab population of Israel and the Communist Party of Israel; “high-handed” arrests, military courts and “heavy punishments” for innocent people, and threats to outlaw the Communist Party.

Miss Wilenska also struck out at the policy of “collaboration” between the Israel Government and the West German regime which she charged was re-establishing Nazism and militarism.
