Israel Concludes Trade Agreements with France and Uruguay Involving over $4,000,000

Israel and France have concluded an agreement providing for the purchase by the Jewish state of more than $1,000,000 worth of kosher frozen meat, frozen fish and lumber produced in France, it was revealed today. The lumber will be used for a plywood factory to be set up at the settlement of Afikim.

A $3,200,000 trade agreement between Israel and Uruguay providing for the importation of frozen meat, wool, rice and other products to Israel and the export to Uruguay of Israel polished diamonds, artificial dentures, wines, liquors, oil primus stoves and olive oil has also been concluded.
