The A.S. Kay Convalescent Center for Disabled Veterans was dedicated here today in the presence of the Washington, D. C. Zionist and philanthropist whose $250, 000 gift made the center possible.
Also present at the ceremony were Mrs. Kay, Mrs. Vera Weizmann, president of the Disabled Veterans Organization, Edward B. Lawson, American Ambassador to Israel, and Brig. Gen. Haim Laskov, Chief of Staff. Mrs. Weizmann announced a special gift of 50, 000 pounds from PICA for the center. Mr. Lawson said he felt proud to be a fellow citizen of Mr. Kay who replied with greetings.
