A delegation of 15 Israeli port workers is currently touring Sweden studying local working methods at various Swedish ports. Included in the party is the Inspector of the Port of Haifa.
The delegation was sent jointly by the Histadrut and the Israeli Ministry of Communications. The International Labor Office and the Swedish transport workers union co-operated in organizing the tour. After a two-week stay, the party is scheduled to visit Holland, Belgium and Italy for similar studies. The Israelis met local Jewish community leaders at a reception given in this city in their honor by the Swedish Zionist Federation.
