The Israel Foreign Ministry has instructed Dr. Arieh Harel, the Israel Ambassador to Moscow to inquire officially for a reply to Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion’s indicated interest in a meeting with Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev, the Ministry disclosed today.
The initial suggestion for such a meeting was made for months ago and repeated by Mr. Ben-Gurion after his return from his 16-day visit to the United States and Britain to Soviet Ambassador Michael Bodrov. The Soviet envoy who is now in Moscow on home leave, promised he would discuss Mr. Ben-Gurion’s suggestion with his superiors.
