The Joint Israel-Euromart committee opened discussions here today on trade developments arising from the agreement signed last year between Israel and the European Economic Community.
During its two days of meetings here, the committee will review relations between the EEC and Israel since the agreement was signed last June, and will deal with the problems of Israeli citrus exports, agricultural products and industrial goods. The possibility of widening relations between Israel and the EEC will also be discussed. The Israeli delegation is headed by Israel Ambassador Amiel Najar, while the EEC group is headed by Axel G. Herbst, director-general of the EEC Commission.
