Israel’s news broadcasts to Jewish communities in various parts of the world will be heard in more countries as the station on which the broadcasts are sent out, Kol Zion Lagola, today placed in use a new and larger transmitter. The new 50 kilowatt station operates on the 33.5 metre band.
Premier Moshe Sharett and Minister of Posts Dr. Joseph Burg addressed the ceremony inaugurating the new transmitter, which is situated near Yavneh. The installation was named in memory of the late Minister of Communications David Remez.
