The Israel Government is taking new measures to facilitate the inflow of tourists into the Jewish state, it was revealed here by an official representative of the Haifa customs bureau. He arrived in Athens this weekend to put into effect the first stage of an experiment.
According to the project, formalities of the entry of tourists into Israel will be completed by the official during a test voyage from the Greek port of Piraeus to Haifa on board a steamship carrying 400 American tourists. The Israel customs official will give the tourists information during the voyage on investment and business prospects in Israel, as well as useful data on the economic life of the country.
