The first collective bargaining agreement covering farm hands in Israel was signed here between the Farmers Federation and the Agricultural Workers Union.
It guarantees each permanent employee–any worker who has been employed at least six months–20 days a month employment, even in the slack season; 12 to 18 days of vacation annually; family allowances and severance pay.
