Israeli Finance Minister Levi Eshkol is expected to confer with Secretary of State Dulles here next week on phases of American economic assistance to Israel. The impending visit of Mr. Eshkol was discussed yesterday when Israel Ambassador Abba Eban met briefly with Under Secretary of State Christian Herter. They discussed economic matters.
(Mr. Eshkol left Jerusalem today for Paris en route to the United States. The reason for his trip to the U.S., it was stated in a cable from Israel, is to seek loans and investments to finance housing and other development programs to care for the tens of thousands of new immigrants to Israel.)
