Attorneys of the Kaiser-Frazer plant in Israel decided here today, after a meeting with lawyers of Regie Renault, the French auto firm, not to file claim against Renault for breach of contract under Arab boycott pressure.
Beyond declaring that “certain possibilities” were discussed, a Kaiser-Frazer spokesman declined to give any details on the talks. It was understood, however, that additional talks will take place soon. The Israel auto assembly firm had announced plans earlier to sue Renault for $2,000,000 damages arising out of a decision of the French firm to yield to Arab pressure and end operations in Israel.
