A new trade agreement between France and Israel was heading for signature today after two weeks of negotiations, providing for a ten percent increase in volume of Israel exports which will reach a total of $11 million by the end of 1959.
Under the pact, France for the first time will purchase irrigation equipment from Israel and will boost imports of Israel citrus and peanuts. France also agreed to give Israel a loan of five billion francs for unspecified purchases in France.
