If the current Israel-German negotiations here over the claims of the German Protestant “Templare” sect for property in Israel do not lead to an agreement within nine months after they opened, a mediator will be appointed to help the parties, it was learned here today. The mediator will be named by either the King of Sweden, the King of Denmark or the King of Norway.

The negotiations, which began last Tuesday, deal with the claim of the Germans for property in Palestine which they acquired many years ago and from which they were deported to Australia by the British Mandatory Government during World War II. Some of the property was sold by the British and some remained in the hands of the Custodian of Enemy Property in Israel after the British withdrew.
