The Israel Government has declared a state of emergency in the building and allocation of immigrant housing in view of the recent increase in immigration, a spokesman for the Ministry of Housing announced here today.
The spokesman said that Housing Minister Yosef Almogi has ordered the establishment of regional committees to survey the possibilities of diverting, for the use of immigrants, public housing now under construction or any other available housing.
