The government introduced in Parliament today a law for elections for the new Parliament, next year, with only minor changes of the law under which the current legislature was elected,
The new law provides that voters must have been citizens of Israel on the 31st of December of the year immediately preceding the elections. It also sets election day as the fourth Tuesday before the day on which the term of the present Parliament ends.
