Israel-greek Customs Pact Signed in Tel Aviv; Provides for Preferential Tariffs

An Israel-Greek customs agreement extending preferential tariffs to each other went into effect today. Israeli planes are already allowed to refuel at Greek airfields without paying any duty.

An Anglo-Israel Chamber of Commerce to encourage and develop commercial relations between Britain and the Jewish state was formed here this week-end at a meeting of leading industrialists, financiers, merchants and government officials. Arieh Shankar, president of the Israeli Manufacturers Association, was named chairman of the body.
