Israel has adopted stiffer measures to crack down on prostitution rings. State Attorney Edna Arbel told a parliamentary committee Monday that the measures include cooperation with Egyptian authorities to prevent the smuggling into Israel of foreign women to work in prostitution, and funding for hostels to shelter women who will testify in court against prostitution ring-leaders.
