The Israel Government has not yet reached any decision regarding the Anglo-American-French proposals aimed at easing tension on the Arab-Israel borders, Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett told a press conference here today. The proposals were presented to the Israel Government two weeks ago.
Mr. Sharett refused to reveal the nature of the proposals, but said that they do not include the recalling of Gen. Vagn Bennike, United Nations truce chief, or the addition of British observers to the truce supervision unit. Nor do they suggest the establishment of any corridor in the Negev, he emphasized. He expressed the opinion that without direct negotiations between Israel and Jordan nothing can be achieved.
