Israel Air Force jets carried out non-stop attacks on Egyptian positions all along the Suez Canal front for eight hours today. It was one of the longest sustained air attacks since the Six-Day War. The planes bombed, strafed and fired rockets at Egyptian military installations, artillery positions and army camps as deep as ten miles from the Canal zone, a military spokesman reported. All Israeli aircraft returned safely to their bases, he said.
