Declaring that he could not reveal any details of his negotiations with the Argentine Government with regard to an Argentine-Israeli trade agreement, Herman Hollander, member of the Israeli commercial mission here, today expressed the hope that within a few weeks he will be in a position to issue an official announcement on the first results of his mission in this country.
Mr. Hollander, who spoke at a luncheon tendered him by the Argentine-Israeli Economic Corporation, revealed that since May, 1948, Israel has purchased $6,280,000 worth of Argentine products as compared with $832,000 imported from Argentina by Palestine during the entire year of 1946. “Israel may become a very valuable importer of Argentine products,” he stressed.
