The annual summer maneuvers of the Israeli Army will start on Tuesday, it was reported here today. The maneuvers will be divided into three parts: first, taking place in northern Israel; second, in the central area of the country, and third, in the south of Israel. Separate air and navy operations will take place simultaneously.
The three armed services of Israel, participating in the huge maneuvers, will be observed by United States, British and French military attaches. According to high Israeli Army officers the maneuvers are aimed to examine the operational efficiency of commanders of all corps, from the smallest units to brigades.
