Pinhas Sapir. Israel’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, left today for Bolivia after a series of talks with officials of Peru on a projected trade agreement between the two countries.
The text of a preliminary agreement was sent to Israel for study after the talks. Prior to his arrival here, Mr. Sapir visited Colombia and Ecuador, where he met with government officials for similar talks.
During his stay in Peru, the Israel Cabinet member was the guest of honor at several banquets and meetings arranged by leaders of local Jewish communities. He reported at these gatherings on Israel’s economic progress, and urged greater cooperation In the development of Israel’s industry and commerce. After his Bolivian visit, the Israel Minister plans to tour Chile, Argentina. Brazil and Venezuela.
