Israel must prevent its neighbors in the Middle East from acquiring nuclear weapons, the head of Israel’s Mossad said. Ephraim Halevy told a meeting of NATO’s North Atlantic Council in Brussels that Israel must make every effort to prevent, thwart and delay efforts by such countries as Iran, Iraq, Syria and Libya to obtain weapons of mass destruction, the Israeli daily Ha’aretz reported.
