Amos Irron, director general of the Department of Tourism of the Israel Ministry of Trade and Industry, arrived in New York on a short visit to promote tourism to Israel during 1953. Mr. Irron told reporters that during his stay in the United States he will discuss problems confronting prospective American tourists to Israel and will assist travel agents and organizations in the planning of their 1953 tours.
