Israel plans to join in an international effort to help Afghanistan after the war ends. An official with the Israeli Foreign Ministry said Wednesday that no firm proposals for Israeli aid were ready, but projects under consideration included setting up field hospitals, providing physical rehabilitation for the injured and developing water resources in arid areas.
