Three Israeli policemen were injured today when a patrol car in which they were traveling struck and detonated a landmine in the Jordan border region north of Jenin. This was the first incident on this border after months of quiet.
A box of Jordanian-made cigarettes was found on the scene and footprints from the site of the incident led to the Jordanian border. The policemen were on route to investigate the sabotaging of water pipes in the area.
