Israel’s Cabinet today appointed a special joint committee, representing the Government and the Jewish Agency, to draw up a program for commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising which falls on April 21, Israel’s Holocaust Memorial Day. Foreign Minister Golda Meir heads the committee.
(In New York, the World Jewish Congress announced that a special WJC delegation will go to Warsaw to commemorate the Warsaw Ghetto uprising on April 21. Israel M. Sieff, of London, a vice-president of the WJC, will head the delegation.)
