Israel President Itzhak Ben Zvi flew from here last night on a visit of state to Belgium and Holland. The President was accompanied by Mrs Ben Zvi and Dr. Walter Eytan, director general of the Foreign Ministry.
The plane took off, under escort of four Israeli jets, after an impressive ceremony at which Speaker of the Knesset Joseph Sprinzak and Premier David Ben Gurion bade the President farewell. Before emplaning on an El-Al Britannia, Mr. Ben Zvi inspected a guard of honor of officer cadets. Mr. Sprinzak will be Acting President during Mr. Ben Zvi’s absence from the country.
