A mezuzah was today affixed to the main entrance of the Hadassah-Hebrew University Hospital and Medical Center in nearby Ein Karem by Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Nissim in the presence of President Izhak Ben-Zvi and Hadassah national president, Mrs. Siegfried Kramarsky, marking the beginning of the transfer of the scattered Hadassah facilities to the new center.
After the ceremony, President Ben-Zvi toured the premises, which were visited later in the afternoon by Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion. Furniture, equipment and supplies are already being moved into the center with the transfer of hospital wards and patients scheduled for June 6.
