A 21-gun salute greeted Israel President Itzhak Ben Zvi upon his arrival in the port of Haifa yesterday, at the conclusion of a 12-day Mediterranean cruise aboard the Israel vessel Negbah. He debarked shortly after arriving and went directly to his residence in Jerusalem.
From aboard the Negbah, which he never left during the cruise, the President broadcast a special greeting to Israel’s Moslem citizens who were celebrating a religious holiday. The vessel was met by an escort flotilla of Navy ships when it entered Israel territorial waters and was escorted to port.
