Israel today expressed its “concern” to Lt. Gen. Odd Bull, chief of staff of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization, over Syria’s continuing incursions into Israel from the demilitarized zone between Israel and Syria.
Gen. Bull was told that Syrian farmers have recently started grazing their herds in the demilitarized zone. Two days ago, the U.N. official was informed, Syria ferried tractors across the Jordan into the zone, and began plowing in that area.
