Israel received nearly $5,000,000 worth of money, materials and services from the U.N. Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) during 1949, it was announced by UNESCO this week-end. The money was part of a fund of $24,000,000 raised in the United States during the year and the aid included fellowships and study grants, books and periodicals, laboratory equipment and school supplies.
