Israel reopened a desert detention camp to hold some of the thousands of Palestinians it has rounded up during its military operation in the West Bank. Confirming reports by several human rights groups, the army said Tuesday it was transferring some Palestinian detainees to Ketziot, which held prisoners detained throughout the first Palestinian uprising, from 1987-93.
