In a sharply worded letter to the President of the Security Council, Ambassador M. Kamanda va Kamando of Zaire, Israel charged that the Palestine Liberation Organization was responsible for the murder of the Israeli diplomat Yaacov Bar-Simantov last Saturday in Paris.
The letter, circulated here today but sent to Kamanda on Saturday by Ambassador Aryeh Levin, the Charge d’Affaires of the Israel Mission to the UN, pointed out that “responsibility for this murder, as well as for the attack on the Israel Trade Center (in Paris last Wednesday) is squarely with the PLO perpetrators who have the cowardly habit of hiding behind assumed names,” such as the “Black September” or”Eagles of the Revolution” which, Levin charged, are “all aliases for the same group of murderers.”
Levin concluded his letter by stating: “The government of Israel will hold the instigators, the perpetrators and the abettors of these crimes responsible and answerable for their deeds.”
