Israel should prepare to absorb Europe’s Jews, a former Israeli chief rabbi said. “I see the end of the Diaspora of Jews in Europe,” Yisraeli Meir Lau said in a statement quoted last Friday in Ha’aretz. He cited increased anti-Israel activism and statistics showing that Germans were weary of hearing about the Holocaust.
