Israel is one of 29 countries whose banks have subscribed to a new $100, 000, 000 issue of United States dollar bunds placed in the world’s financial markets last week by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the World Bank announced here today.
The amount of Israel’s subscription was not announced. The issue is known as “Two-Year Bonds of 1960, ” carrying interest of three and one-half percent annually, payable semi-annually.
