An Israel supply convoy will proceed to the Israel positions atop Mt. Scopus tomorrow after a delay of three weeks resulting from a dispute between Israel and the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization.
Following a Jordan protest, the TSO ruled that Israel would have to remove a road block established by the Israel guards on the height across a road in their zone leading to the Arab village of Assavieh. The Israelis had charged that since the Jordanians had enlarged the road from a footpath to one suitable for vehicular traffic, it had become a threat to the Israelis and a disturbance of the status quo as outlined in the special armistice agreement referring to Mt. Scopus.
The acting head of the TSO. Col. H. Hommel, however, ruled that Israel must remove the roadblock, and forbid the movement of supply convoys through the Jordan lines until Israel obeyed. Today Israel came to an agreement with Col. Hommel.
