Israel will restrict motor traffic, commencing Sunday, to save foreign currency expenditures for oil purchases, it was officially announced here tonight.
All private and commercial vehicles and all taxis will be required to remain idle one day a week. In addition, the country will be divided into zones and motor travel will be restricted to the zone in which the car owner resides. Taxis will be exempt from this zone restriction.
