Kaddish Luz, Israel’s Minister of Agriculture, asked the Israel Treasury today for 24,000,000 pounds to provide drought relief for farmers.
Mr. Luz declared that the meager rainfall during the spring had cost the entire grain crop of the Negev and that the lack of fodder for animals we “most serious” Measures were discussed here today to provide aid for the stricken farmers and to prepare a memorandum for a bid for relief aid from the United States Government.
