Education Minister Zalman Aranne told Praliament today that 9,000 teachers will be trained in the next three years to meet the teacher shortage in Israel.
He also announced that educational television would begin in 1966 and reported that one-third of the 100,000 children attending secondary schools were exempt from tuition payments. He said that in the next three years the percentage was expected to reach 50.
