Israel trails Saudi Arabia in trade from the Middle East with the United States, according to the daily Ha’aretz.
Overall American imports from the region dropped by 8 percent to $9.25 billion during 1992.
During that year, Saudi Arabia imported $3.95 billion from the United States and exported $5.56 billion. Israel was next with imports of $1.93 billion and exports of $1.7 billion, followed by Egypt and Kuwait.
