Israel wants to buy 42 medium-range missiles from the United States at a cost of some $18 million, the Pentagon said Tuesday. The sale of the air-to-air missiles will contribute to U.S. security “by helping to improve the security of a friendly country” that is an “important force for political stability” in the Middle East, the Pentagon added.
