Israeli police limited Palestinian access to the shrine Sunday out of concern that worshipers could riot in response to the statement, put out over the weekend by the Islamic Jurisprudence Academy in Saudi Arabia. Muslim officials frequently have incited their minions by warning of imaginary Israeli plots to destabilize the mosque.
