Israel Will Curtail Traffic to Save Oil, Minister Announces

Communications Minister David Zvi Pinkas today announced in Parliament that the government is considering measures to curtail inter-urban vehicular traffic as part of an oil conservation program.

It was reported that one of the restrictions planned by the government is the suspension of all traffic for two days of each week. The Poale Mizrachi is demanding that one of these two days should be Saturday.
