Informed sources said here today Israel will probably vote for the admission of Communist China to the United Nations but not for the expulsion of Nationalist China. The Foreign Ministry is holding consultations on Israel’s strategy for the upcoming General Assembly at the United Nations under the chairmanship of Foreign Minister Abba Eban and attended by Yosef Tekoah, Israel’s ambassador to the UN. Israel, which extended diplomatic recognition to Red China 21 years ago, without reciprocation, will not change its projected stand even if the mainland regime refuses to take a seat at the UN if Taiwan is not expelled.
